Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) how many pupils educated within the State system gained two or more A-levels in each of the years 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974;

(2) how many pupils educated within the State system gained A-levels which included either a Grade A or Grade B in each of the years 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974.
