asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what grant the Workers' Educational Association receives from the Government.

Mr. Mulley

During the financial year 1974–75, grants from my Department to the English and Welsh districts of the Workers' Educational Association and its headquarters totalled £572,000. Of this some £560,000 was in respect of tuition costs.
