HC Deb 04 November 1975 vol 899 c156W
Mr. Crawford

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the wage and salary bill expressed in £s per week of the SDA on 29th October.

Mr. William Ross

As I said in reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Dunbartonshire, Central (Mr. McCartney) on 27th October—[Vol. 898, c.393–4.]—it is my intention that the Scottish Development Agency should be formally established on 15th December. Appointments to the agency's staff will not, therefore, be effective until that date. In the meantime, the salary and wages bill of the small secretariat serving the SDA Organising Committee amounts to some £375 per week.
