§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will consult with local authorities in Scotland with a view to obtaining information showing how many local government officers in Scotland will be compensated for loss of office due to the reorganisation of local government under the Local Government Reorganisation (Retirement of Chief Officers) (Scotland) Regulations 1974; what will be the total amount of compensation paid; and if he will then publish details in the Official Report.
