HC Deb 24 March 1975 vol 889 c61W
Mr. James Johnson

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action he is taking to reduce the imports of fish fillets into the United Kingdom from Norway and Iceland; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Bishop:

The Government are well aware of the problems being caused by low-priced imports in the present depressed state of the market for fish. Action is in hand and I am confident that solutions can be found. I do not think it would be helpful for me to say more at the moment.
