asked the Secretary of State for Industry how many civil servants are currently employed by his Department in Cardiff; and how many of these jobs will be transferred to the Welsh Office on 1st July this year as part of the recently announced devolution of Section 7 powers of the Industry Act 1972.

Mr. Gregor Mackenzie:

415, of whom 107 are in the Office for Wales. The number of jobs to be transferred from the Office for Wales to the Welsh Office is still under consideration.
