§ Mr. Michael Marshallasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is having any discussions with the building societies for the lowering of the mortgage interest rate following reduction in the bank base rate.
§ Mr. Freeson:The Government maintain contact with the building societies on all matters affecting mortgage finance.
