HC Deb 11 March 1975 vol 888 c127W
Mrs. Bain

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether Scotland is represented in the British delegation to the EEC Education Committee; who is the Scottish representative; and what part the Scottish Office has played in the preparation of written documents submitted to the committee.

Mr. William Ross:

Representation on EEC bodies is drawn from the different parts of the United Kingdom as may be appropriate. The meetings of the Education committee are attended by an officer of the Scottish Education Department and membership of the Committee's sub-committee on Higher Education includes the Vice-Chancellor of a Scottish university. Papers presented to the Committee are prepared in consultation with my Department.
