§ Mr. Robin F. Cookasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing (a) the number of caravan sites licensed by each of the appropriate local authorities at the most recent convenient date in each of the last two years, (b) the current number of sites which are partly residential and the number wholly residential, and (c) the total number of pitches contained on the sites currently provided by each local authority.
§ Mr. William RossAs local authorities are not required to make returns of licences granted for caravan sites this information is not readily available. I am, however, arranging to obtain basic information on caravan sites from caravan licensing authorities in Scotland in connection with the mobile homes review announced by my right hon. § Mr. Fairgrieveasked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he is satisfied that local authorities are making sufficient and adequate provision for residential caravan sites in their development plans;
(2) if he is satisfied with the operation and effectiveness of Part 1 of the Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960.
