§ Sir D. Walker-Smithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what reply has been sent, or is proposed to be sent, to the letter dated 16th June to his Department from the Hertfordshire 291W County Council; and whether he will give favourable consideration to the reception of a deputation from that council as requested in respect of the projected Stanstead Abbotts bypass.
§ Mr. CarmichaelI am sending the center hon. and learned Member a copy of the reply sent to Hertfordshire County Council. I do not think a deputation from the council would serve any useful purpose at the present time.
