asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement about the building of advance factories in Scotland.

As my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Department of Industry announced on 25th June, the Government's fifth advance factory programme since July 1974 contains provision for an additional 200,000 sq. ft. of factory space in Scotland. I propose that this should be allocated as follows:
