§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if the findings of the group of experts appointed by the Commonwealth Conference to draw up a programme of 142W practical measures to close the gaps between rich and poor countries (Command Paper No. 6066, paragraph 27) will form the basis of any considered resolution or set of proposals to be presented by Commonwealth Governments to the Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
§ Mr. EnnalsThe group of experts is holding its first meeting in London this week. It will meet again for two weeks in Ottawa during July. It will be its aim to submit an interim report on the results of its work in time for this to be discussed at a meeting of Commonwealth Ministers in August, and taken into account by Commonwealth Governments before the Seventh Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September. Until the interim report has been considered it is not possible to anticipate further action.
