asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the percentage increase in the price of home-produced foods and imported foods, respectively, in the last six months for which figures are available.

The index of prices of produce sold by farmers and growers in the United Kingdom increased by 12.1 per cent. between September 1974 and March 1975, the latest month for which information is available. Over the same period the average unit value index of imported foodstuffs increased 17.6 per cent. Indices up to May of retail prices of food items mainly home produced for direct consumption and food items mainly imported for direct consumption are published in the June issue of theDepartment of Employment Gazette.
