Mr. Aitken

asked the Prime Minister what will be the estimated annual budget of the Government's special Counter-inflationary Publicity Unit; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

The Counter-Inflationary Publicity Unit has still to determine the requirements of the situation and no estimate has yet been made of its financial needs.

Mr. Aitken

asked the Prime Minister what will be the salaries of Mr. Geoffrey Goodman and Mr. Charles Birdsall, Director and Deputy Director of the Government's special Counter-inflationary Publicity Unit, and of Lord Jacobson, adviser to the unit; and if he will list the names, salaries and previous experience of all other members of the unit.

The rate of remuneration of Mr. Geoffrey Goodman is still under discussion. As a senior member of the Government information service, Mr. Charles Birdsall receives the salary appropriate to his grade, which is
