§ Mr. KaufmanThe Government attach great importance to the improvement of industrial planning. The White Paper on the Regeneration of British Industry and the Industry Bill provide for the establishment of new instruments to improve industrial achievement in the United Kingdom. In particular, the planning agreements system is designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of industrial planning, by providing a new basis of participation and co-operation between Government and companies and those who work in industry.
