§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will consider the possibility of instituting a system of direct elections to the Yorkshire Electricity Consultative Council at the same time as the local government elections for 1975.
§ Mr. MaclennanI have asked the National Consumer Council to review the present arrangements for consumer representation in the nationalisel industries. Until I have receive its report I do 149W not propose to make any change in the present statutory provisions for the appointment of members of the electricity consultative councils.
