§ Dr. OwenThe building of an experimental detoxification centre at Withington Hospital, Manchester has started and is likely to be open in 1976. Consideration is being given to the possibility of setting up centres in London and Birmingham. The setting up of detoxification centres for alcoholics will be one of the matters to which the Advisory Committee on Alcoholism, shortly to be set up, will be asked to give particular attention.
