§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Industry how many new jobs are expected to arise for males and females, respectively, in (a) manufacturing industry, and (b) in non-manufacturing sectors, in each of the districts and counties of Wales during each of the next five years.
§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieI regret that information is not available in the form requested. We do, however, know of about 24,600—18,100 male—jobs expected to arise in manufacturing in Wales over the next four years as a result of selective assistance under the Industry Act and from our information about the take-up of new and existing factory buildings. A breakdown of these jobs by standard planning sub-division is as follows:
