§ Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection whether the rates of susidy on butter and cheese are to be increased to offset price increases resulting from the EEC farm price review.
§ Mrs. Shirley WilliamsWith effect from 3rd March 1975, the rate of subsidy on butter will be increased to £233 per ton, of which about £48 per ton will be paid from EEC funds. The cheese subsidy will continue to be paid at £188 per ton. Appropriate amendments will be made to the statutory orders setting maximum prices for butter and cheese.
