HL Deb 05 February 1975 vol 356 cc974-5WA
Lord AVEBURY

asked Her Majesty's Government :

What organisations or individuals are being consulted by the Home Office with a view to amendment of the Race Relations Act and its harmonisation with legislation on equal opportunities for women.

The MINISTER of STATE, HOME OFFICE (Lord Harris of Greenwich)

It is the Government's intention to make known any proposals for new legislation on race relations before bringing a Bill forward and to give all concerned a full opportunity to express their views. If any groups or individuals have views which they would like to have taken into account now we would be glad to receive them.
