§ Mr. HattersleyThe United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the European Community and his staff maintain contact with officials of the European Commission over the whole range of Community policies. In addition officials from Whitehall Departments attend a wide variety of meetings organised by the Commission—working groups, management and regulation committees, etc.—whenever necessary to deal with the day-to-day implementation of Community policies.
