§ Mr. Gregor MackenzieIn conjunction with local education authorities and industry my Department supported the setting up of the Tayside Schools Technology Centre, with a three-year grant, which ends on 31st December 1975. This was to enable the centre to develop local interests in, and financial support for, the 613W continuation of its activities. I understand that the governing board, after a number of unsuccessful appeals to local education authorities and industry for financial support, has reluctantly decided to recommend its closure from 1st February 1976.
