HC Deb 15 December 1975 vol 902 c451W
Mr. Lambie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the delay in starting the construction of the British Steel Corporation's direct reduction plants at Hunterston, if he will set up an inquiry in his Department to find out who is responsible; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. William Ross

There has been no delay in starting this work. I advised the Corporation on 24th October of my intention to approve its planning application and this will be done as soon as a number of detailed but complex considerations have been resolved in consultation with BSC and the local authority.
