§ Mr. Hall-Davisasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if, pending the conclusion of the consultation procedures on school transport, he will introduce a measure of interim relief from January 1976 for families with more than one child having to travel more than two miles but less than three miles to school.
§ Mr. MulleyThe introduction of the necessary legislation would not be desirable in advance of a general decision on school transport. Local education authorities already have discretion to assist in such cases.
