§ Rev. Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he will take steps to ensure that the laws affecting motor tax, street trading, rent and rate-paying, broadcasting licences and licensed premises are fully enforced in all areas in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Merlyn Rees, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 10th December 1975] gave the following information:
The hon. Member refers to a wide range of matters, in respect of which there are differing methods of enforcement, including action, as appropriate in the criminal or civil courts. The police and other organisations concerned do everything they can to enforce the law and they receive my full support.
