§ Mr. StrangProposals for harmonising national arrangements for the health and hygiene of liquid milk production were presented to the EEC Council by the Commission in 1971. They include provision for periodic checking of the cell content of milk from each production holding and for measures to be taken if a prescribed standard is not satisfied. The proposals are still under discussion by an expert working party of officials.
