§ Mr. Harold WalkerThe Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission informs me that the Factories Act 1961, the Mines and Quarries Act 1954 and the Hours of Employment (Conventions) Act 1936 prohibit night work for women in factories, mines and quarries. Exemption from this restriction may, however, be given if this is in the public interest.
