§ Mr. Norman Lamontasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will discuss with the appropriate authorities 390W in the House of Lords the possibility of a detailed study being made of the accommodation in the Lords with a view to a large part of it being made available to Members of the House of Commons for offices.
§ Mr. Edward ShortThe scope for further office accommodation for Members within the Palace of Westminster is kept under regular review by the Services Committee. Subject to the agreement reached in 1965 regarding the allocation of accommodation between the two Houses of Parliament, discussions are held, as necessary, with the House of Lords authorities.
§ Mr. Norman Lamontasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will discuss with the appropriate authorities in the Lords whether the Lords' television room is sufficiently used to justify its size; and whether it might be made available to the Commons for Members' office accommodation.
