HC Deb 05 December 1975 vol 901 c429W
Mr. Fitt

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether his Department or the Northern Ireland Housing Executive has had discussions with non-elected bodies in the north and west Belfast areas with regard to the building and allocation of houses; and whether he will list the names of these organisations.

Mr. Concannon

I understand that the Northern Ireland Housing Executive has had, and will continue to have, discussions with tenants' associations, community groups and redevelopment associations in various areas of North and West Belfast. The provision of a list of the bodies consulted would be the direct responsibility of the Housing Executive.

Northern Ireland Ministers and officials from the Northern Ireland Department of Housing, Local Government and Planning have had many discussions with interested parties on housing and planning matters in North and West Belfast. It is not possible to provide a comprehensive list of the large number of non-elected bodies which have been consulted; discussions with them complement the regular contacts with elected representatives.
