HC Deb 04 December 1975 vol 901 c686W
33. Mr. Holland

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what further steps are to be taken to resolve the Icelandic fishing limits dispute; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Strang

I would refer the hon. Member to the statements made by my right hon. Friends the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on 20th and 26th November, and the Minister of State for Defence on 24th and 25th November. I would emphasise that Her Majesty's Government are ready to continue discussions with the Government of Iceland with a view to reaching a negotiated settlement whenever and wherever the Government of Iceland are prepared to enter into such talks.—[Vol. 901, c. 171–8,484–6,666–70 and 836–9.]
