§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer:
- (1) How many civil servants are employed exclusively in administering the corporation tax; what is the estimated annual cost of administering this tax; and what is its estimated gross yield in the present financial year;
- (2) How many civil servants are employed exclusively in administering capital gains tax; what is the estimated annual cost of administering this tax; and what is its anticipated gross yield in the present financial year;
- (3) How many civil servants are employed exclusively on administering income tax; what is the estimated annual cost of administering income tax; and what is the estimated gross yield of income tax in the present financial year.
§ Mr. Robert SheldonIn the local tax and collection offices, work on the various taxes is integrated, and the only Inland Revenue staff exclusively engaged on the administration of each tax are those employed in the relevant head office and specialist sections.
