asked the Secretary of State for Trade what is the value of industrial equipment exports to the USSR by British firms which have Soviet inspectors attached to them; and how this compares with the position before the appointment of such inspectors.

In January to October 1975 exports of non-electric machinery, electric power machinery and switchgear amounted to £46.1 million. The comparable figure for 1973 at current prices was £35.2 million. Estimates at constant prices are not made for exports to individual countries.
