§ 31. Sir David Rentonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will make a statement explaining the effect upon home sugar beet production and prices of the recently renegotiated EEC agreement with regard to the admission of cane sugar from Commonwealth countries.
§ Mr. BishopThe EEC agreement with cane sugar exporters has no effect on the price for sugar beet, and United Kingdom growers have considerable scope for expansion of production under the revised United Kingdom basic quota for 1975–76.
