asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will arrange for the removal of the date of birth in its present disguised form from all future licences for the driving of motor vehicles.

No. The date of birth is needed to distinguish between drivers of the same name: it is scrambled to make it less obvious to the casual observer.
