Mr. Kershaw

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what proposals he has to ensure adequate compensation to householders of Didmarton whose houses suffer damage due to traffic vibration consequent upon road alterations now being undertaken on the A433 at Didmarton;

(2) what proposals he has to make up the road surface of the A433 within the village of Didmarton; when the work will start; how long it will take; and what it will cost;

(3) why roadworks are being undertaken on the A433 at the west end of Didmarton; when they were sanctioned; what they will cost; how long they will take; what steps are being taken to move the speed limit signs; what proposals he has to reduce the speed limit in Didmarton; and whether he will make a statement;

(4) what proposals he has for a bypass of Didmarton on the A433; when the work will start; and what it will cost.

The A433 through Didmarton is a principal road and the matters referred to arc in the first instance matters for the Gloucester County Council as highway and traffic authority.
