§ Mr. Mageeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps his Department is taking to remove sexually discriminatory criteria in the awarding of academic grants, especially grants to mature students.
§ Mr. PrenticeThe grant which a student, whether a man or a woman, receives under the awards regulations is related to the student's requirements, income, and responsibilities. If my hon. Friend will give particulars of the provisions he has in mind I shall be glad to consider the matter.
