asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he is satisfied with the present common agricultural policy; and if he will make a statement.

In my statement to the Council of Agriculture Ministers on 18th June I indicated the changes I wished to secure in the CAP. There has since been some progress and I will be pursuing our outstanding objectives for the improvement of the CAP over the next few months.
