§ Mr. Wrigglesworthasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will increase the rates of allowances paid to young unemployed people carrying out short industrial appreciation courses.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am advised by the Manpower Services Commission that the allowances paid to young people on short industrial courses were increased in July 1974 as were the allowances paid to all trainees. The Manpower Services Commission keeps training allowances under regular review and makes whatever recommendations it feels necessary in the light of changing circumstances.
