§ 21. Mr. Tinnasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what response has been received from the Government of Brunei to the expression of views by Her Majesty's Government on the subject of political detainees in Brunei.
§ Mr. EnnalsDiscussions with the Sultan of Brunei are confidential. As I told my hon. Friend the Member for Darlington (Mr. Fletcher) on 19th November—[Vol. 381, c.383-4.]— the Sultan announced on 2nd November the release of three detainees and his intention to release more in due course.
