Mr. Speed

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will obtain and list the dates and places of crimes using bombs or other explosive

19th December G.P.O. Sorting Office, 21-37 New Oxford Street, W.1. Letter bomb 1 injured.
22nd December Shooters Hill Police Station Letter bomb 1 police officer slightly injured when bomb exploded whilst being examined.
24th December North Star Public House, Finchley Road, N.W.3. Explosive device 6 injured.
26th December Stage Door Public House, Allington Street, S.W.1. Explosive device 1 injured.

4th February M.62 Motorway, near Leeds Explosive device 12 killed, 14 injured.
12th February National Defence College, Latymer, Bucks. Explosive device 2 injured.
26th March 38 Field Regiment Depot, Claro Barracks, Ripon, Yorkshire. 5 explosive devices 1 slightly injured.
6th April City Magistrates' Court, Manchester. Explosive device 3 police officers slightly injured.
19th May Heathrow Airport, Terminal 1 Car Park. Car bomb 4 slightly injured
17th June Westminster Hall, Palace of Westminster. Explosive device 11 persons slightly injured.
17th July Mortar Room, White Tower, Tower of London. Explosive device 1 killed, 42 injured.
29th July W. D. & H. O. Wills Ltd., Bedminster, Bristol. Parcel bomb 1 person slightly injured.
5th October Horse and Groom Public House, North Street, Guildford, Surrey. Explosive device 5 killed, 49 injured.

devices that have taken place in England and Wales in the past 12 months resulting in death or personal injury; and if he will list the casualties and the number of convictions that have been secured.

Between 1st November 1973 and 25th November 1974 there were in England and Wales 30 crimes resulting in death or injury in which bombs or other explosive devices were used. The number of killed is 40 and of injured 396. Up to now 10 people have been convicted, although not necessarily for offences committed in this period; and 26 people are awaiting trial, most of them for the offence of conspiracy to cause explosions.

21st November Mulberry Bush Public House, City center, Birmingham. Explosive device 20 Killed, 120 injured.
Tavern in the Town public House, City Centre, Birmingham.
25th November Caledonian Road, Kings Cross Piccadilly Circus outside Swan and Edgar's Bomb in pillar box 21 injured.
