The assistance allocated was towards the cost of the following schemes in Scotland in 1973: Government-operated schemes of training of unemployed workers; other Government expenditure on training; transfer of workers; raining and resettlement of workers leaving agriculture; training of workers in or leaving textiles; training of disabled persons; industrial rehabilitation of disabled persons. 1973 European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund £1,910,227 for projects from the construction of fishing vessels and agricultural produce factories of land improvements in agricultural areas. Scotland also shares with England a joint project comprising two beef production research units for which a total grant of £56,161 was offered. 1973 European Coal and Steel Community £45,000 grant towards the cost of a feasibility study of industrial and environmental redevelopment at Cambuslag. 1974 European Investment Bank £10..4 million loan towards the cost of new power station at Peterhead. 1974 European Investment Bank Allocations totalling £1,020,000 have been made to Scottish companies from the global loan administered b y the Industrial and Commercial Finance Corporation. 1974 European Coal and Steel Community £14.8 million loan towards the cost of a new investment project at Revenscraig. In addition, money will be available in due course as required from schemes to aid redundant steel workers under a European Coal and Steel Community Re-adaptation scheme which was approved in 1974.
