§ Mr. Joseph Deanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is yet ready to announce details of the rate support grant settlement for the year 1975–76; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. CroslandIn the rate support grant settlement for 1975–76 I propose a figure for relevant expenditure of about £8,100 million and I propose to pay grant on this at a rate of 66.5 per cent. In the increase order for 1974–75 I propose a grant of about £1,100 million which is in addition to the £3,431 million already given in the 1974–75 main order. I will shortly lay orders before the House for debate.
