asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, having regard to the problems of valuation, his inquiries with regard to the use of high alumina cement indicate remedial measures which can be taken to ensure structural stability.

According to the 1971 Census the number and percentage of people who are economically active or retired in each of the five social classes in Wales are as given in the following table:

strength in the high alumina cement concrete, must depend on the design of the building and the extent to which the concrete has deteriorated. The measures can range from the complete replacement of faulty members to the provision of additional supports, and it is for the professional advisers to building owners to recommend what is appropriate in each case.
