§ Mr. Grocottasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when work is planned to start on the Tamworth section of the M42 motorway.
§ Mr. CarmichaelSubject to the completion of the statutory processes and the availability of funds at the time, it is hoped to start work on the length of the M42 between the M6 and the A446 at Curdworth towards the end of 1975. The remainder of the Tamworth section, from the A446 to the A444/A453 at Appleby Magna, is unlikely to be built before the mid-1980s.
