Field; if such support would allow Professor Field to conduct 372W research in a separate unit from the Ministry; and if she will make a statement.
§ Dr. OwenGovernment policy on research into multiple sclerosis is the same as on other forms of medical research. Any research worker seeking support from Government funds may submit a proposal to the appropriate body, which will examine it. It is open to Professor Field to submit a proposal for support for research in multiple sclerosis. Any support for a unit in biomedicine would be directed through the Medical Research Council.
