What plans they have to reduce the lead content of petrol.

BARONESS BIRK

The Secretary of State for the Environment intends to make regulations under Section 75 of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 to impose a statutory limit to the lead content of petrol, and to prescribe procedures for enforcement. Interested persons will shortly be consulted on the scope and content of these regulations.
