HC Deb 14 November 1974 vol 881 cc210-1W
Mr. Kilroy-Silk

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many private patients have been admitted for hysterectomy in the last quarter of 1973; how many waited for more than three months for admission after referral; and how many waited for more than three months.

Dr. Owen

In the past the treatment to be given to private patients and any interval between referral and admission have usually been arranged directly between the patient and doctor and as a consequence have not regularly been included in NHS statistical returns. NHS statistics cannot therefore at present provide the information sought by my hon. Friend.
