HC Deb 14 November 1974 vol 881 cc237-8W
Mr. Thorne

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether there have been any improvements in the procedures for the obtaining of entry certificates within the Indian subcontinent by husbands, wives, relatives, and fiancés of British subjects wishing to join their relatives in Great Britain; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ennals

We have almost completed the reinforcement of our staff announced earlier this year and I very much hope that when it takes full effect there will be a significant improvement in the situation.
