§ Mr. BennICL has recently announced the formation of a new leasing finance company, Midland-ICL Leasing Ltd, under an agreement with Midland Montague Leasing Ltd, a member of the Midland Bank Group.
At the request of ICL, the Government have agreed to extend to the new arrangement with the Midland Bank the support announced by the Minister for Aerospace on 30th July 1971 in respect of an agreement for leasing finance between ICL and Computer Leasing Ltd. Accordingly, in September the Midland Bank was informed that the Government would be prepared to assist ICL in fulfilling its obligations under the new agreement.
