HC Deb 07 November 1974 vol 880 cc198-9W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will make a statement about the scheme to provide holiday recreation for children on school premises.

Mr. Moyle

Summer holiday recreation schemes in Northern Ireland are organised by both statutory and voluntary agencies, but mainly by the education and library boards, during July and August. This year premises and facilities at 145 primary schools and 119 secondary schools were used. The cost was approximately £200,000. It is intended to provide similar schemes next year.
